CPAP Intolerance

The American Sleep Association is recommending dental appliance treatment for patients with severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea who are intolerant of, or refuse treatment with CPAP.

Nasal CPAP machine delivers pressurized air through a hose to a small nose mask.  The air flow acts like a splint to keep the upper airway open and prevent apnea. CPAP machines have 99% efficiency in restoring normal breathing during sleep.  However, the rate of patient compliance with CPAP is less than 50%.

The FDA approved appliances we use to treat sleep apnea and snoring are customized to fit each patient.

Oral appliances are safe, effective, easy to wear, few, if any, side effects.
